About:

Hi y’all and welcome. My name is Kristen, aka Studio Sprizz.

Movement is an innate processing method for me, as well as my chosen field of education and my mission to share.

Growing up, movement was just my baseline. I was always here, there, and everywhere. From the soccer field to the dance studio, and quite literally bouncing and climbing walls. I had a lot of energy to burn. I still do, and I know a lot of you relate.

After the disruption of my family atmosphere due to parental failures, I was left without dance classes at my peak performance opportunity. So, at 19, when I began to stabilize my life away from that structure, I funded my return to dance. The dance studio was where I rebuilt my physical conditioning and formed community.

It was at a dance convention, during a small conversation circle, that I was steered toward my formal education, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Boston. This led me to my formal career, aiding patients through orthopedic exercise protocols in the physical therapy clinic, which eventually led to my promotion into operations leadership and advocacy by day.

By night, I was in the dance studio, both still paying to take classes and completing my internship hours. During that time, I developed and implemented a protocol for adolescent dancers measuring outcomes before and after intervention.

For 25 years, I have studied the body formally through university and certificate studies, but I have been studying my own experience since it began. I have experienced a variety of bouts of illness and injuries since childhood, creating long-term autoimmune conditions. So I understand what it is to readapt practices through various phases of health.

My passion is truly connecting with people, hearing their stories, understanding how their experience is going, learning from them, and figuring out how I can help both alleviate and elevate them through my skill sets, personally and professionally.

I recently took a side quest to revisit a Master’s degree to better serve my community in public health. But after some weather and system disturbances, I decided that community connection is a more valuable focus for me at this time, regardless of level of reach.

I wish you the greatest of ease and health on your journey, and I look forward to connecting.

Peace,
Kristen

Studio Philosophy:

At the studio, I believe fitness is about more than just exercise it's about privacy, empowerment, and understanding the unique journey individuals experience within their bodies. I’ve personally experienced the grief of loss impacting hobbies, frustration of not knowing how to care for myself in a way that honors my needs, and it’s disheartening to feel out of place in a crowded gym or struggle to keep up in a group class, feeling like the weakest link.

The studio is a sanctuary a place where you can prioritize learning how to care for your well-being without fear of judgment. I am committed to providing a supportive, empowering space where you can feel comfortable, confident, and truly engaged your session and fitness journey. I aim to meet you in a way that can honor where you are at various phases of life and teach you to listen closer and trust yourself.

I believe that exercise should be something you look forward to, not dread. When physical activity becomes an enjoyable part of your routine, it transforms not just your body, but your mindset. It’s about creating lasting habits that promote overall adaptability in health practices growing and changing with you, habits that remain flexible and unique to you.

Ultimately, my approach isn’t just about fitness it’s about fostering self-worth, building community, and empowering people to reclaim ownership of their bodies and their health. In a world that often overlooks your unique needs, I am here to reassure you to trust yourself forward on the path.

This is a place where honestly, experience, and nurturing create aligned growth in various blooms.

Hope to see you soon.
